Keep in full sun out of northerly winds; it is best to keep it out of the cold during January and February. If you get flowering plants in winter, keep them under the eaves or in a frost-free area. In spring, when the weather warms up, the plants grow taller and leafier, so keep them well-ventilated to avoid damping off.

Keep the plants out of the rain during flowering to prolong the flowering period. If planted in the garden, it is advisable to mix organic lime or bitter lime in the planting area beforehand.

Plant the bulbs in lightly moistened soil and after 4-5 days, give them plenty of water when the surface of the soil is dry. Water the bulbs in the same way during flowering; keep them dry when the leaves turn yellow in late May and stop watering when all the leaves turn yellow and allow them to dry out completely.

 

北風の当たらない日当たりのよい場所で管理し1月から2月にかけては寒さに当てない方がよい。冬に花が咲いたら軒下や霜の当たらない場所で管理しましょう。春になって暖かくなると背が高くなり葉も茂るので湿気がこもらないように風通しをよくします。

開花中は雨に当てないようにして開花期間を長くします。庭植えの場合はあらかじめ植え込み部分に有機石灰や苦土石灰を混ぜておくとよい。

球根は軽く湿らせた土に植え4～5日後土の表面が乾いたらたっぷりと水を与える。開花中も同じように水やりをし、5月下旬に葉が黄色くなってきたら乾かし気味に管理し、葉がすべて黄色くなったら水やりをやめて完全に乾燥させる。
